Any AV technician who wants to brush up on basic networking knowledge and delve a little deeper into the practicalities of various AV network protocols.

BY WHO?

Pita Tanghe, freelance audio engineer specializing in wireless audio and intercom systems. 
Due to his intercom specialization, Pita is experienced with many different network protocols and combining them. He devised and programmed various systems for high-end fashion shows from Moncler and Burberry, among others, and at various corporate events.

CONTENT

  • Basic principles of an IT network and their practical application

  • Use and application of various devices such as switches, routers and access points

  • Network Configuration (IP Addresses, Subnetting, VLAN)

  • Combining networks over the same cable (Trunking)

  • Designing, drafting and programming network systems

  • View common AV network protocols such as Dante, sACN and NDI

Due to the digitization and ever-growing potential of IT networks, these are indispensable in our world.

Both audio, light and video use different network protocols that give us many possibilities, but this can also make things very complex.

In this course we look at how we can tackle these networks as efficiently as possible.
